David Blatherwick amongst is an artist and teacher currently living between Windsor, Ontario and Quebec. Since the mid-nineties he has exhibited widely, including solo exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Windsor, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, Musée des Beaux Arts du Québec, Stock 20 in Tai Chung, Taiwan, La Cité Internationale in Paris and the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh. His work has also been included in numerous group exhibitions including Vidéo Naïve at Musée des Beaux Arts de Nantes, Métamorphose et Clonage at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, The Hand at the Power Plant in Toronto, and Partly Human at El Museo de Arte Moderno de Guadalajara to name a few. In 2000 he became a member of Arte y Desarollo, an experimental art/development group centered in rural Dominican Republic. He has received numerous grants including the Pollock Krasner Grant for painting. He has many published reviews, essays and publication projects to his credit, and has himself been the subject of frequent reviews. There is also catalogue available fromthe Cheese, Worms and the Holes in Everything exhibition presented at the Art Gallery of Windsor, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in 2008.
